UV5R Button Guard
A compact, small-form-factor button/PTT guard for the Baofeng UV5R.
Stop yourself from acidentally hot mic-ing for an entire day because the button was being pressed in your pouch over and over again (like what happened to me).
Comes with a handy hole in the back so you can remove your radio's battery without having to remove the guard.
Protects the 3 buttons on the side, and the volume control knob on top.

Available in two materials: PLA-ST and Carbon-fibre Nylon (PA12-CF). Which to pick?
Choose PLA-ST if you're...
- A casual airsofter who attends games once in a while.
- Will likely use the item infrequently, or for low-intensity applications.
- Won't likely encounter very hot environments. (withstands up to ~60°C before deformation)
- Using it for cosplays.
- Has a smoother satin finish with an added dimpled effect.
Choose Carbon-fibre Nylon if you're...
- A power-user looking for a tougher product.
- An intense airsofter seeking sturdy equipment.
- Will likely play or store the item in hot conditions. (withstands up to ~180°C before deformation)
- Will use it every day.
- Has a rougher matte finish with a slight grey hue.
Usage
To attach:
1. Remove any existing accessories including and antenna and belt clip.
2. Place the guard above the radio, seating the right-hand side to the top of the screen.
3. While holding the right-hand side in place, use you other hand to press the left-hand side down, and it should snap into place.
4. Afterwards, use the two screws that came with your Baofeng radio through the two holes in the back of the radio to secure it in place.
