UV5R Button Guard
A compact, small-form-factor button/PTT guard for the Baofeng UV5R.
Stop yourself from acidentally hot mic-ing for an entire day because the button was being pressed in your pouch over and over again (like what happened to me).
Comes with a handy hole in the back so you can remove your radio's battery (using a screwdriver or similar tool) without having to remove the guard.
Protects the 3 buttons on the side, and the volume control knob on top.
Can be attached with or without the original belt clip.
Usage
Tech Specs
To attach:
1. Remove any antennas, or existing accessories, including the belt clip and the two silver bolts in the back of the radio.
2. Move the guard into position, but at a slight angle so the side with the volume knob is snug into the guard, and the opposite side (the right side) is not fully seated yet.
3. With both hands, apply even pressure to both shoulders of the guard, and the left side should snap into place.
4. Now you can either simply screw the two bolts back into place as-is, or with the belt-clip.
Perform the same steps for the low profile receiver as above to re-install the original receiver.
*Please note; this purchase does not come with the pictured radio, it is just for the button guard.
